Why you’ll love it
-
Wash the day away: cleanse away everyday dirt and excess surface oil.
-
Refresh your ritual: enjoy the distinctive aromatic character of eucalyptus.
-
Prepare for your Kees step: cleanse first, rinse thoroughly, then gently exfoliate.
-
Bring the hammam home: a traditional Moroccan ritual in your own bathroom.
What is it?
Beldi, also known as savon beldi or Moroccan black soap, is a traditional soft soap with a rich, spreadable consistency.
Unlike a solid soap bar or a grainy body scrub, it glides over warm, wet skin in a thin layer. In the Moroccan hammam, it is the cleansing step before rinsing and using a Kees glove.
This version pairs the familiar Beldi experience with eucalyptus for a fresh, aromatic bathing ritual.
Beldi cleanses. The Kees exfoliates. Together, they form the heart of the hammam.
What is it made of?
An olive-based Moroccan Beldi soap with eucalyptus.
The olive-based soap provides the cleansing action, while eucalyptus gives this version its distinctive aromatic character.
Check your product label for the complete ingredient list, particularly if you have fragrance or botanical allergies.
What makes the eucalyptus version different?
Choose it for the experience: the rich texture of traditional Beldi with a crisp, fresh scent that makes your bathing ritual feel more immersive.
It follows the same cleansing-and-rinsing sequence as Original Beldi. Eucalyptus adds an aromatic dimension; it does not turn the soap into a treatment for congestion, muscle pain or skin conditions.
Your Moroccan hammam, step by step
1. Begin with warm water
Wet your body with comfortably warm water. A warm shower is enough to begin the ritual.
2. Apply a thin layer
Spread a small amount over wet body skin. Add a little water in your palm if needed to help the paste glide. Avoid your face, eyes, intimate areas and irritated skin.
3. Follow your label’s contact time
Keep the application comfortable and follow the directions on your packaging. Rinse immediately if you feel burning, itching or stinging.
4. Rinse thoroughly
Wash away the soap completely before reaching for your Kees.
5. Exfoliate gently, if desired
Wet your Kees, squeeze out excess water and use a few light, controlled strokes on damp skin. Skip areas that feel tender and avoid repeatedly rubbing the same patch.
6. Finish with moisture
Rinse, pat dry and apply your usual body moisturizer.
Warm water. Beldi. Rinse. Kees. Moisturize.
Make the ritual yours
| Pair it with | Its place in your ritual |
|---|---|
| Traditional Hammam Kees | Gently exfoliate after thoroughly rinsing away your Beldi. |
| Atlas Ghassoul Clay | Enjoy a separate, freshly mixed clay step when your skin feels comfortable. |
| Your usual body moisturizer | Apply after bathing to replenish moisture. |
| Pure Moroccan Argan Oil | Add a small finishing touch after moisturizer, if your skin tolerates it. |
Little details that make a better hammam
-
Portion before you shower. Keep the jar away from running water.
-
Use a thin layer. You do not need a thick coating.
-
Rinse before the glove. Keep cleansing and exfoliation as separate steps.
-
Keep the pressure light. Comfortable, smoother-feeling skin is the goal.
-
Save extra steps for another day. Your ritual can be as simple as Beldi, a rinse and moisturizer.
Your questions, answered
- Do I need a Kees? You can enjoy Beldi as a rinse-off body cleanser on its own. The Kees adds optional physical exfoliation after the soap has been washed away.
- Will it leave my skin smelling of eucalyptus? Enjoy its aromatic character during use. As a rinse-off product, it is not intended to provide a lasting perfume.
- Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Traditional soap and aromatic ingredients may not suit very dry, reactive or fragrance-sensitive skin. Test a small area using the rinse-off directions before wider use, and avoid known allergens.
- Can I use it on my face? This Beldi is intended for body cleansing. Keep it away from your eyes and choose a cleanser suited to your facial skin.
- Does it exfoliate by itself? Its main role is cleansing. The Kees provides the physical exfoliation once the soap has been rinsed away.
- How often should I use it? Keep the Beldi-and-Kees combination as an occasional ritual rather than a daily scrub. Adjust to your skin’s response and skip exfoliation when skin feels dry or tender.
- Can I use it after shaving or waxing? Allow skin to recover first. Avoid use on freshly irritated skin and follow any aftercare instructions after waxing, laser or other treatments.
- Do I still need moisturizer? Yes. Beldi is a rinse-off cleanser; finish with your usual body moisturizer.
Keep your Beldi at its best
Store tightly closed, away from direct heat and standing shower water. Remove each portion with a clean utensil, keep water out of the jar and follow the expiry information on your packaging.
Make room for the ritual.
The warmth of water. The freshness of eucalyptus. The unmistakable texture of Moroccan Beldi.
From our rituals to yours.
